Children’s skin after 3 years of age

It is more easily subject to irritation and redness than that of adults, hence the importance of using products that are specifically adapted to its fragility.

In order to preserve your child's skin, it is essential to act at several levels:

Cleansing

Children's cleansing routine should be gentle and daily but never harsh. It is essential to use suitable products to prevent the risk of allergy or skin problems that are more and more frequent (irritation, red patches, etc). To respect children's fragile skin, all the products in the Biolane Kids range have been specially formulated to cleanse the skin and the scalp gently while respecting the skin's protective film.

Moisturizing

Sensitive to climatic variations and harsh external factors (cold, wind, pollution, etc), children's skin needs to be moisturized every day (especially in cold weather) to maintain the skin's softness and natural balance.

If your child's skin is dry or irritated, to prevent it from becoming even more fragile:

Sun Protection

Most exposure to the sun occurs during childhood before the age of 18 years. The doses of sun received by a child are 2 to 3 times greater than those received by an adult. And yet, from 3 years of age children's defence system against the sun's rays becomes established but it is not yet mature. This is why children cannot be exposed to the sun without protection because there is a very high risk of sunburn: their skin must be protected.

It is vital to use a sun cream with a high sun protection factor against UVA and UVB rays, completed by wearing a hat, T-shirt and sunglasses. Apply the sun cream around 15 to 30 minutes before going out and reapply every 2 hours.
